They were obedient and came, but knew no one here, had no
ready-made congregation...only direction from the Lord.
One evening while walking along the pier God spoke to
Pastor Jim and told him to look around - which he did.
Around him were several people fishin'...all ages,
shapes, sizes, colors...just fishin'.
God then spoke to Pastor Jim again and told him, "Jim,
these are the people you're going to help Me reach.
They're
here fishin' for food, you're here to fish for
men (used here loosely to mean men, women and
children)."
At that moment the church name was selected - Fishers of
Men Bible Church. |
